food philosophy

There is soooooo much discussion about food. And food is not the only one - as major subject-  showing us how misled thinking transfers to different categories of our lives. As an example, I have been exposed to people, who, most of their life, eat vegetarian meals. To me, meat eater, brought up in tradition of  70% diet based on meat, it could become an issue, to compromise with theories stating dominance of plant diet instead flash diet.
Surprisingly, I’ve never questioned it. Why? First of all, our subjective knowledge doesn’t have to be the one, which is right and this approach, let me- not only in this subject- perceive things differently.
Luckily, I didn’t argue with my friends point. Once I discovered, not only vegetarians appear as stronger comparing to meat eaters (it contradicts our grandmothers knowledge based on conviction meat is indispensable as protein source), but also they appear living longer, looking younger and as an existing prove-full of energy, meat eaters seem to luck many times…
After all, there are quite few theories, some would consider strictly scientific, explaining human nature and adaptation to eating habits.
Obviously, once we used to be meat eaters. Was it always like?
According to specifically two theories, we are not adapted to digesting meat (both theories are explained here in simple way, which easily finds prove in nature).
Sure we can bite it, even more we can swallow it and our stomachs will digest meat fiber, but if we only could watch process of how hard is to our bodies to digest it, I bet, after first presentation we would resign from it completely.
Now, how we can cover body need for certain nutrition? No worry, we have plenty of them out there, if only we were more careful with preserving precious nature gifts (a little bit research, some confidence and we are on a right track!)
Coming back to theories: first one explains teeth history. Our teeth, in majority are molars-it means they grind food. Almost any creature in nature, eating only plants, has molars. Incisors, on the other hand, are destined to tear food apart. Shark, dog or cat belong to meat eaters. Koala, cow, horse, us (!) belong to plant eaters. Logical.
The other theory says about the way of drinking water. When new animal comes to zoo, to establish it is a plant or meat eater, staff gives it water to drink. Accident?
 Don’t think so.
Sipping water indicates being vegetarian, lapping it – meat eating. Again: deer, horse, cow etc. are vegetarians; dog, cat etc. are meat eaters. Try to place yourself in one of these groups. Guess where are you at?
Now, there are few exceptions, but we’re not one of them.
In nature, I’m sure there is more ways to prove rightness of acts every creature performs.
Observing chimpanzees eating mostly plants (roots, seeds etc) this fact doesn’t exclude them from eating meat. However meat contains only 5% of their diet (might become, so called: habitual eating tradition as example of attacks on humans and eating human flesh, which is mainly connected with territorial behavior) and since they are related to us in some degree, maybe we should think about following the same pattern...
As mentioned earlier, ironically in life, there are many things we are absolutely convinced about, yet we don’t know how wrong we can be about it. Our ancestors, life we knew from birth, habits we use to copy endlessly, social context may discourage us from questioning what is more beneficial to consider for our bodies and minds.  It’s very important to look at things, as they are relevant. Our believes often stand for what we used to know all life, but unfortunately many times it can turn as opposite to truth.
Food is a major topic. It constitutes cultures, gives them its own recognition, roots and individuality. Repercussions of what we eat stand for what we are. Nowadays world seems to ignore it, mainly because there is contagious ignorance and lack of need to question things we think we know for sure.
Food become political. Any government approving bad habits of eating hangs the rope over its neck. The same habits turn eventually into genetic issue, because our bodies can take only as much as they can.
